Ella-
a picture of a princess
a picture of a princess

She is an absolutely beautiful fifteen year old girl. She lived with her evil stepmother and stepsisters for awhile, who made Ella thier servant. The three of them called Ella Cinders-Ella (sound familiar?), because she was always dirty. She also would always wear rags and do all the cooking and cleaning, which she hated. Ella also hated her stepmother, Lucille, and her stepsisters, Corimunde and Griselda. One day, Ella took matters into her own hands, and went to the ball. Her astonishing beauty made the prince fall in love with her, and he swept her off to the palace. Ella is a smart, curious, modest young woman who hates being called beautiful, because she feels that it is shallow and that people shouldn't care about that sort of thing. Sh e loves the prince...for awhile, until she falls for her young tutor. Ella believes that people shouldn't marry anyone they don't love, which seriously goes against the traditions of her time. Ella is strong and stubborn, and hates anything dainty or princess-like. Unfortunately, her etiqutte teacher is NOT fond of that last trait. Ella is lovable, especially towards books. She is very down-to-earth.

Jed- external image robert-pattinson.jpg
He is smart and funny but serious. He is Ella's religion tutor after his father (Ella's old tutor, Lord Reston) falls ill, and he has been in love with her since the moment he met her. Jed loves to read. He has a huge heart, and he cares very much about the refugees from the Sualan War. He tries his hardest not to show his love for Ella, since he is convinced she is head-over-heels for the prince. He is thoughtful and studious, and ponders things and questions for awhile before actually answering or responding. He shares Ella's humorous streak, although he is mainly a pretty serious guy.

Madame Bisset- external image mean%2Bold%2Blady.jpg
Ella's etiquette teacher. Her job is to teach Ella all the faux pas of princess life, and to overall keep her in line. Mainly, she gets annoyed with Ella, because Ella hates all the "princess stuff" that she is supposed to learn. Madame Bisset is an older lady with a tight bun, and is VERY strict. She is cannot understand why Ella can't drink her soup right, or attend a tournament right, or call upon a servant correctly. She revealed that she was once a commoner like any other peasant, but she was so intrigued by the castle and all the manners and proper, royal ways of doing things that she just had to move to the castle. Ella doesn't understand how anyone could ever want to live in the castle!

Mary- external image UglyDollsOx350.jpg A little servant girl who is about ten. Ella uses her to get information about what is happening to who, around the castle. Mary is very ugly and never thinks of herself as anything but a scrawny little servant. She comes and cleans Ella's room and while she is cleaning, she talks to Ella about the latest news. Ella thinks of her as a friend because she is nice and helpful.

Prince Charming- external image prince_roosevelt.jpg a boring young man who happens to be the prince of the castle waiting to find a princess to marry. He meets Ella at the royal ball, where she was chosen by him to be the princess. At the ball they danced and had a good time and a little later, they decided to marry. Ella decides she does not like the prince anymore, and calls off the wedding. The prince is really dumb.

Corimunde and Griselda-external image monkey.jpg external image fatmonkeyAFP_468x417.jpg Ella's two evil stepsisters. They use Ella as a maid and make her do everything. They both call her Cinders-Ella. They only think about themselves, and even though they seem the alike, and maybe that they would work well together, they hate each other and treat life like its one big competition. They are ugly and rude and fat and lazy, and nobody ever wants to be around them. They are also unquestionably fat.

Lucille-
Ella's evil stepmother. She is rude and unkind like Corimunde and Griselda. She made Ella do all the cooking and cleaning and other work when Ella lived with them. Lucille is stubborn, and on the night of the ball, she said Ella was too ugly to go, so she made Ella stay and hand wash the whole basement.

Quog- external image Troll.jpg an ugly, mean, rapist, huge guy that was Ella's jailer. Quog was arrested before for raping lots of women. He kept trying to capture Ella through the bars of the dungeon. Every day that Ella was in the dungeon, he would do something and cause her to spill her gruel, which was the only food she got all day. Quog eventually died because when the prince tired to save Ella, Quog was trying to get Ella because she was out of her cell, so the prince just stabbed him. Quog was already in trouble for rape before, and what the prince did to him was deserved.
